An Artistic Inquiry

I sent this email, to no avail...

"Hello there,
   I am a (mostly unknown) artist myself, and although I can not donate financially, I am curious to know some things. Like the following:
1. Is there any way/thing that I can do to help? I happen to possess some costumes/clothes that could be used as costumes, and some props... I'm not a "costume shop" by any means, but I've been collecting for years for my personal clothing/costume design projects. Can this be of any help?
2. Is there somewhere in the community that artists like myself can display their art? If so, is this one of those locations (in the "hub")? If not, where might that be?
3. Where might I find out more information about out art community/local artists? Is there a website that hosts all of our local artists? If someone could get back to me on all this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all your time, assistance and understanding. Sincerely, Chris"
   Well, I am sad to say that I never heard back on this from whom I sent it to. Afterwards I found Deviantart.com. However this is not exactly "local", nor is it really easy to join, and you actually need to be invited to join this site. Thankfully, that was not hard for me as I know a few other artists who are already on there.
   Otherwise, I am still in search of answers to these questions if anyone may know... Please feel free to comment and share. Thankz muchly!!!

Sleep-overs Precautions

Hello,
   A blog regarding behaviours that I have experienced from "friends" (or were they?) in the past.
Everyone seems to have friends that want to stay over at one time or another, and many have done so over the years with me and my older son. Sadly I say that many have been disappointing as "roomies", even if only temporary.
   From those negative experiences I have found it necessary for some rules for staying over. Although more could always be added; I am keeping it limited to 10, and they are NOT in any particular order. These are those rules...
GENERAL RULES FOR STAYING OVER
1. Respect everyone, and everything while at my house. I am a reasonable person that respects everyone, or at least tries to; and I expect the same in return. This includes but is not limited to:
~ everything from me & my kids, our belongings, the space we live in & surrounding property/ neighbours.
~ any stuff of friends of ours that may be over while you are, and NO breaking anything out of anger. I don't need the negativity/ stress & anxiety. If others are going to be disrespectful, they can expect to GET THE F%#!*K OUT!!!
+
2. NO lonely-guy B.S./ expecting anything sexual from me!!! I MUST MAKE THAT ONE CLEAR!!! If I am interested, trust me... I'll let ya know. And I'm sorry, but my interests lay elsewhere. Like my many thoughts, projects, events, etc... I am a "busy gal".
+
3. No bringing negative/ unwanted "drama" of any kind, that is not a simple "venting" need. And please let me know if it is. This includes any thing or person that may come with you, or due to you being here.
+
4. No trying to "take over" anything of importance. EX.: Co-parenting (help) is only appreciated when "backing me up" with the kids. Don't "step on toes", or try to "parent for me" (unless asked). And don't try to fool me, into thinking that you're not trying to!!!
+
5. No talking about/ doing anything "non-child friendly" around my kids!!!
+
6. NO borrowing anything outside my house, as too many things never return. I prefer borrowing to stay here, while you are here.
+
7. NO walking into my bedroom; unless I ask you to specifically, or you are a trusted "lover"/ b/f!!!
+
8. Set good examples while here. This includes CLEANING UP AFTER YOURSELF!!! I have kids of my own, and sometimes others' kids here to do this after. And I DON'T need another "big kid" here, nor do I want to have to constantly remind you like I'm "nagging".
+
9. Don't ask me questions, just to be negative after my answer. WTF?!?!?
+
10. Expect to "pay your own way"/ "go Dutch". I am not here to feed/ cloth you, nor to clean up after/ clean your laundry. I have my family and self to do that for/ after. I'm NOT your momma!!!
+
Thankfully, this is not needed much now. I wish that nobody else feels the need for such a list, and that if needed you can know this is available for your use.
I hope you have wonderful wild & wicked journeys & adventures through what we call Life!!! (042910210AMishC.E.S.)
Thankz for listening!

Until next time...

C.E.S. - W3 History

(~*~)Hello,
   This project originally started in Brantford, Ontario back in 1999.  It started when friends would gather to play a board game called Hitchiker  - by Scott Hamilton. It is now available in 2 versions, the original and the 2012 release. It was a gift from a friend, just before my champagne birthday. I'll never forget it! Thank you (you know who you are).
   As we played we eventually created/ discovered how we may alter certain aspects, and began practicing our own version. This launched my game-in-the-making into the creative process! As this also expanded into additions, stories, and character design discussions; it also grew a name of it's own. Many aspects have continued changing/ expanding since, and the need for 2 versions became a reality.

   Despite this project being put on hold many times over the years, there is much information (still on paper, or in files) to be shared! Persistence and time management are important keys, and persistence is part of my drive. Hoping to have them both within my grasp as often as lately for much longer. As much needs to get done, and this is a time that I could definitely use 4 of me - my disclaimer: They must all be at least as intelligent as me when I was 35 years old (092314716AMishC.E.S.).
   When I started it online as one of my BIG 2 projects/ "business initiatives", it was well on it's way to becoming ready for the process of sharing and growing into reality. I shared it  on Facebook to be temporary, until the site is up and ready, so I have learned to also not share everything over there.
NOTE:
This project is now (Sept.23/14) on hold once again, as I get other needed organizations done.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Until next time...
Take care & Safe travels!

Self-Stalking - Inspiration in The Morning 21

(~*~)
Hello,
Welcome to a new month!
=
Feb.1/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 413"Never discourage anyone...who continually makes progress, no matter how slow."~Plato (427 BC - 347 BC)
My Add:
Slow is better than not at all. As has been proven time and time again, with practice comes improvements and often speed. After all, as they say... Slow and steady can win the "race". So let's be turtles once in a while I say!!! To get our accuracy down, before attempting to race. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Feb.2/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 414
"Education is a progressive discovery of our own ignorance."~Will Durant (1885 - 1981)
My Add:
Some say "ignorance is bliss", but is it really? When progressing through our ignorance by education, we learn and grown as individuals. And are we not truly much happier to experiment with new knowledge, and know that we can discover new things? After all... Progression is what changes our world we live in, and we adapt/ change with it. HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (^^^)
+++
Feb.3/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 415
"Behold the turtle. He makes progress only when he sticks his neck out."~James Bryant Conant (1893 - 1978)
My Add:
Without risk there would be no challenges, and our curiosities could remain "unquenched". Many mysteries, discoveries, and improvements have come from risks taken. Which ones we choose in our lives, is what could make the biggest changes for us. Questions are... Are we "ready, willing, and able" to get the facts for informed decisions/ objectivity, to "accept" the challenges that may come along with this journey, and the possibilities that maybe certain things just should not be done? And most importantly are we willing to remind ourselves to not only keep an open heart and mind through it all, but also that what we do now changes possibilities in our future - good or bad. So here's to the risk takers, the thinkers, and the progressives!!! We ALL have it in us to "be one of the greats"!!!
WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (*@^@*)

Feb.7/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 416
Timing can be everything in Life, and especially when traveling via local transit systems. If not timed right, we could either be too earlier or too late. Personally, I'd rather be too early, but find myself quite often running behind - too late... thankfully not often. What have I have found that works "like a charm"? Setting my clock 15 minutes fast. Why? Because it gets our brain thinking it is so, and hence helps you to "hurry up" when needed most. Hope this helps you, like it has me. HAPPY TWISTER TUESDAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Feb.8/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 417/ 'Afternoon Assmiration'... 3
"Observe due measure, for right timing is in all things the most important factor."~Hesiod (~800 BC), Works and Days
My Add:
When our day's first adventure shows us that our timing is off/ we weren't thinking as clearly as what was apparently needed, we may feel "dread creep in" and think that the whole day will be like this. But this is NOT always true! We can change it, simply by thinking of what else we are doing for the rest of the day. This can help us to prepare better for each task/ adventure along the way. And it may even help them get done quicker/ more effectively. Today may be "Hump Day" (requiring getting over the "hump" of the week), but it doesn't mean we have to "keep the snail's pace"/ suddenly become ignorant (lack of knowledge). Change can be VERY GOOD, and so can our timing!!! HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Feb.9/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 418/ 'Afternoon Assmiration'... 4
"The sad news is, nobody owes you a career. Your career is literally your business. You own it as a sole proprietor. You have one employee: yourself. You need to accept ownership of your career, your skills and the timing of your moves."~Andrew Grove, Co-founder and Chairman of Intel Corporation, Only the Paranoid Survive
My Add:
This is true throughout our whole lives, and it is that much more important when we are adults in a business world. For this is why I started & I sincerely offer this business initiative/ "company". To try and have "good timing" with any kind of assistance we may need, for or through each other and those we know. We hope that we can help strengthen ourselves & each other through such timing/ assistance. "Supportive and promotional". And of course to have some fun & great memories along the way!!! HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Feb.10/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 419/ 'Afternoon Assmiration'... 5
"There is timing in the whole life of the warrior, in his thriving and declining, in his harmony and discord. Similarly, there is timing in the Way of the merchant, in the rise and fall of capital. All things entail rising and falling timing. You must be able to discern this."~Miyamoto Musashi
My Add:
Supply & Demand! To discern these rising & fallings of timing, is just as important as what we do to prepare for them and what we do/ create. To reach our "target audience" is another factor. We must remember to keep in mind all the "pieces to the puzzle", if we are to be succeed in our attempts. WE CAN DO IT!!!
WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (^^^)

"Making decisions about whether to keep and how to organize objects requires categorization skills, confidence in one's ability to remember, and sustained attention. To maintain order, one also needs the ability to efficiently assess the value or utility of an object."~Randy Frost and Gail Steketee, Stuff: Compulsive Hoarding and the Meaning of Things, 2010
My Add: As I get ready for some events coming up, I'm starting into my "purging for others". It won't be easy; but I'm sure if I stick to my organizational & value assessment "skills", I should be able to reach my goal!
HAPPY Not-So-Manic MONDAY!!! (^^^)

Self-Stalking - Inspiration in The Morning 20

(~*~)
Hello,
Welcome to a new month!
=
Jan.2/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 391
"We do not need magic to transform our world. We carry all the power we need inside ourselves already. We have the power to imagine better."~J. K. Rowling, Harvard Commencement Address, 2008
My Add:
To imagine a better world, can be the start to making a difference. It can also be the start to creating a written story. We never know where it will lead us, until we take the first steps. (^^^)
+++
Jan.3/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 392
"To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk."~Thomas A. Edison (1847 - 1931)
My Add:
Even if we have been told for years that the stuff we have collected for any arts/ crafts we plan on doing is junk... it does not mean it is. It could be just that they don't know what we want to do with it, or their lack of imagination. But it always helps to "weed through" it, just in case we do have some "junk" in there. Spreading the Love of creativity!!! (^^^)
+++
Jan.4/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 393
"Imagination is the one weapon in the war against reality."~Jules de Gaultier
My Add:
When reality gets us down, imagination can sometimes "kick in". When this happens we never know what "adventure" we may have. It could bring us "down" with negative thoughts, but it better when we become inspired from it. Many WICKED (in a good way of course) things have come out of negative situations, opinions, etc... by simply seeing where improvements are needed. Keeping an open & optimistic attitude doesn't hurt either. Sending "good vibes" your way...
HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Jan.5/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 394
"Imagination is more important than knowledge..."~Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)
My Add:
Why? Because without imagination many of the "what if"s that develop into knowledge, would be seriously lacking "out of the box" thinking that is so needed for progression/ innovation. HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Jan.6/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 395
"Science may set limits to knowledge, but should not set limits to imagination."~Bertrand Russell (1872 - 1970)
My Add:
Imagination it the foreground to knowledge. With limits, we lose a freedom to think freely. Without it, we are "lost in the dark". So let your imagination run free, and let's try to keep it positive.
WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Jan.9/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 396
"When ideas fail, words come in very handy."~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749 - 1832)
My Add:
In this instance, words would come in handy for "throwing the idea around" until something "helpful"/ a better way of explaining it comes out. Of course, they are also handy for the development of the idea, to come into reality. What would we do without our words... ? HAPPY MONDAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Jan.10/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 397
"Every composer knows the anguish and despair occasioned by forgetting ideas which one had no time to write down."~Hector Berlioz (1803 - 1869)
My Add:
I have this to be true time and time again with myself. Even with a "handy dandy" note book, do I find that writing things down are not always given the time in some circumstances. All I can do is keep trying to retain the memory, long enough for that "golden writing opportunity".
Spreading the LOVE... HAPPY TWISTER TUESDAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Jan.11/12 Inspiration in The Morning... 398
"This is my answer to the gap between ideas and action - I will write it out."~Hortense Calisher
My Add:
Any idea can be GREAT!!! If we write them down, it's the first action to bring them into REALITY!!! HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (^^^)
+++
Jan.12/12 Inspiration in The Morning... 399
"Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living."~Miriam Beard
My Add:
Travel can definitely do more than change one's view points. It can "stir the pot" of our imaginations, inspire us to do GREAT things, and even change our lives! YUP! Inspirations surround us throughout our many adventures in this journey we call "Life"! So my question to you is... What inspires you "out there"?
HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (*@^@*)

"I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones."~John Cage (1912 - 1992)
My Add:
New ideas bring about changes. Sometimes we think they are bad changes, but really they (more often than not) are NEEDED changes that bring about the "good for us" changes in Life. Some old ideas still "ring true to this day", but (more often than not) many have become "stagnant"/ needing change, irrelevant, or even obsolete. It's up to each of us (as individuals) to decide what "works best for you". After all, it's not their life... it's yours! WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (*@^@*)

"All this will not be finished in the first 100 days. Nor will it be finished in the first 1,000 days, nor in the life of this administration, nor even perhaps in our lifetime on this planet. But let us begin."~John F. Kennedy (1917 - 1963), inaugural address, 1961
My Add:
To begin in itself can be an accomplishment, but it is only the start to the WICKED things we can do. And it reminds me of a Dr. Suess book/ saying... "Oh the thinks we can think, if only we try." & "Rhyme time"... So much growth has come from such thinking; that it is truly a sad day, if we "give up" on ourselves this way. Mondays don't have to be "manic"... (*@^@*)

Jan.17/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 402
"Follow the path of the unsafe, independent thinker. Expose your ideas to the dangers of controversy. Speak your mind and fear less the label of 'crackpot' than the stigma of conformity. And on issues that seem important to you, stand up and be counted at any cost."~Thomas J. Watson
My Add:
For with self expression comes FREEDOM, while in conformity lies sameness. And with that sameness, comes the trained & unthinking mind. Who want to be like a ROBOT!?!? NOT ME!!! FREEDOM FREEDOM FREEDOM is what the people cry!!! Spreading the LOVE... (*@^@*)

Jan.18/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 403
"The most powerful factors in the world are clear ideas in the minds of energetic men of good will."~J. Arthur Thomson
My Add: These are the "backbones" of our culture, technology, and even ourselves as individuals. For it's the good intentions for the "greater good" put into action that brings us our "evolutions" of yesterday, today, & tomorrow. Here's to all those before us that have "dug their feet in", and given it their best!!! For without them, MUCH would have been lost. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)

Jan.19/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 404
"There are only two kinds of scholars; those who love ideas and those who hate them."~Emile Chartier
My Add:
With ideas usually comes change, and for some, the "fear" of it. Change can bring both good and bad "elements" to any situation. Those that hate them, usually fear the possibilities of "stepping outside their comfort zones"/ change. Those brave enough for any possibility, usually have adventurous souls and LOVE ideas. If it's researched, it can bring a "new light" to possible changes and be accepted easier, "molded to fit" individual situations, and understood better. I've always said... 'When in doubt, look it up". Leaving me Thirsty for more!
HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (*@^@*)

Jan.20/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 405
"This is my answer to the gap between ideas and action - I will write it out."~Hortense Calisher
My Add:
We can all "answer to the gap" by taking action! We just need to put our "foot forward", and take that first step. Motivation may not always be there. But if we at least try to break through the "barrier", more often than not, we shall "concur" the procrastination "hurdles". WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (*@^@*)

Jan.23/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 406
"What's the use of a good quotation if you can't change it?"~Doctor Who
My Add:
What good is a quotation change, if you can't use it? There are many ways some things can be "seen", it matters what perspectives we have. This is where "objectivity" can come in. To try to see every way possible, is easier to see not only "both sides of the story", but also to figure out what the actual truth is. Let's stay objective! Happy not so manic monday!!! (*@^@*)

"Nothing changes your opinion of a friend so surely as success - yours or his."~Franklin P. Jones, Saturday Evening Post, November 29, 1953
My Add:
Success comes in many forms. It could be through advancements in our business or personal lives/ jealousy from the friend - something that the friend did/ said; or a change of our perspectives/ beliefs. Whatever the reason, we must remember that they still are/ were our friend. Staying kind towards them never hurts, and could "repair" any possible "hard feelings" towards each other in the future. "I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult."~E. B. White (1899 - 1985)
My Add:
While I attempt to "change the world" with positivity each day, it tends to keep me online ALL day. I try to break from this to get other things done also, but it just doesn't happen many days unless I actually have errands to run. SO, I made it one of my New Year's resolutions. Maybe this reminder will help me to change some "habits". Change is good. It can help us "tweak" what's needed, it brings a "breathe of fresh air", it encourages us to do better, and of course it can free our souls. What better day than today. After all, there's no time like the present. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)

Jan.26/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 409
"The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it."~Flannery O'Connor (1925 - 1964)
My Add:
If we can't "stomach" the truth, maybe it's time for change. The undesired truth, will always stay the same if we don't. It's like being "stuck in a rut"... We must keep "trudging" upward and outward if we are to "escape" such things. After all, when discovering ourselves we are always changing/ improving. And of course, we are like wine... getting better with age. Leaves me "thirsty" for more.
HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (^^^)

Jan.27/12 Inspiration in the Morning... 410
"Human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives."~William James (1842 - 1910)
My Add:
Those who are "close minded/ hearted" will not welcome change. And will have a very hard time accepting any. We MUST stay open to change if we are to see any objectivity at all. And once we do see "both sides of the story", we MUST remain open or all can be lost. Some perspectives we "cling" to could be false/ misleading. Being open & objective, is the only way to truly make any "informed" decisions . From there it may not always be easy, but at least we will know the facts and have the opportunity to change. Let's always try to remain open. WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (*@^@*)

"Progress isn't made by early risers. It's made by lazy men trying to find easier ways to do something."~Robert Heinlein (1907 - 1988), Time Enough For Love
My Add:
Every Monday can feel this way, and if we succeed in it, then all the better. But we must ask ourselves if we are leaving anything out, as "short cuts" are not always helpful if we do. As it can cause us the need for re-doing such tasks. Let's keep an "eye" on all that needs to be included. (^^^)

It's all about supply & demand. Sometimes when we think we are done, we find we must "get back to the kitchen" to make more! I certainly feel this one today, after I sent off almost a batch and a half (of the 2 batches I made last night) to Zack's school this morning. So I am in the kitchen again making more!!!

"A true friend knows your weaknesses but shows you your strengths; feels your fears but fortifies your faith; sees your anxieties but frees your spirit; recognizes your disabilities but emphasizes your possibilities."~William Arthur Ward
My Add:
Yuppers... "true friends" are the best in the world! To think and act like one isn't as hard as some may think, and to have one is all one really needs. To have several is a blessing! The love shared can live in our hearts, like the brilliance of the sun warming our planet on a hot summer day! Just the thought of it, leaves me "thirsty" for more!!! HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (^^^)

"That which the dream shows is the shadow of such wisdom as exists in man, even if during his waking state he may know nothing about it... We do not know it because we are fooling away our time with outward and perishing things, and are asleep in regard to that which is real within ourself."~Philipus Aureolus Paracelsus (1493 - 1541)

"It was once said that the moral test of Government is how that Government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the elderly; and those who are in the shadows of life, the sick, the needy and the handicapped."~Hubert H. Humphrey (1911 - 1978)
My Add:
Is this not the moral test of us ALL???

"We have to have the money to do the work we want to do, as well as to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. Fat commissions are good, but not always easy to come by, and each new painting takes its time. So we need to find every way possible to earn extra income from our work."~Elizabeth Aston, The True Darcy Spirit, 2006
My Add:
A question that comes to mind... How many ways can we earn "extra" (being beyond any original sale idea) income for any given item? Anything come to your mind? Ideas, ideas, ideas... BRING THEM ON!!! (*@^@*)

Dec.13/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 378
"I passionately hate the idea of being with it, I think an artist has always to be out of step with his time."~Orson Welles (1915 - 1985)
My Add:
If this was not true for most of us artists, then progression would be deprived! Taking away many future "projects", and much variety. And without variety... Life would lose a lot of interests/ inspirations. So HERE'S to NOT "fitting in/ being with it"!!! CHEERS to those of us this "suits"!!! (*@^@*)

Dec.15/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 379
"Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works. Anything that’s invented between when you’re fifteen and thirty- five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it. Anything invented after you’re thirty-five is against the natural order of things."~Douglas Adams (1952 - 2001), The Salmon of Doubt
My Add: That was how things USE to be. In today's society we have moved away from the "career" years, and moved into the "freelancer no matter what you do" years. Now starting into any business, is more of a "Le Challenge" than ever before - no matter what age. So go forth with an open mind, heart, & courage my friends... for only our efforts & time will tell our outcomes.

"Relationships of trust depend on our willingness to look not only to our own interests, but also the interests of others."~Peter Farquharson
My Add:
This is just as true with being a parent, as it is in romantic relationships. Either way, we must trust ourselves and know that we are doing our best to look out for those we love. After all anything in Life that matters may not always be easy, but we keep on trying." (^^^)

"Some relationships start with fights... But, usually only in romantic comedies. Life's not the movies."~Takayuki Ikkaku, Arisa Hosaka and Toshihiro Kawabata, Animal Crossing: Wild World, 2005
My Add:
And Love is worth more than bothering to fight, but we all do it from time to time. And it can be the "relationship killer" if we are not careful with our words, the way things are said, etc... Let's try to refrain from such things, and just HUG when we feel those thoughts "creeping up" on us. Spreading the LOVE is MUCH BETTER, and can help ourselves & others to feel less stress during such times. (^^^)

No relationship is perfect, and when it comes to Love & trust; both must survive the test of time. There's a couple of sayings that comes to mind/ goes along with this... "Assumptions are the termites of relationships."~Henry Winkler (1945 - )
My Add:
When assumptions come into play, we need to listen to reason and all the facts before decisions are made. Otherwise, aren't we just "giving in" to rumors or possibly false thoughts? Being truthful & fair to ourselves and our partners, is the only way to "see through the fog" and see things for how they truly are. HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (^^^)

Nov.1/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 351
"Candy Is dandy
But liquor Is quicker."~Ogden Nash (1902 - 1971), "Reflections on Ice-Breaking"
My Add:
Besides the obvious "happy" affect that both can give, I'm guessing liquor's quicker with the sugar rush here too. We all need something from time to time, to help us feel "happy". But the best way is still to enjoy your surroundings & the people in them. Spreading the LOVE! (^^^)

Nov.2/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 352
"Anyone who uses the phrase 'easy as taking candy from a baby' has never tried taking candy from a baby."~Unknown
My Add:
Just because it's possible to do something, doesn't mean that it SHOULD be done. If it causes others to cry, it could be a sign that it shouldn't be done. Considering others' feelings are always a must, as it could cause other difficulties "in the long run" of things. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (^^^)

Nov.3/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 353
"I don't want someone shoving his views down my throat, unless they're covered in a crunchy candy shell."~Stephen Colbert, The Colbert Report, May 2, 2006
My Add:
The "crunchy candy shell" of course would be something beneficiary to the receiver of such "shoving". This is where objectivity comes in "handy". Open heart, open mind, & sometimes LOTS of patience. If used, it can leave you "thirsty" for more knowledge. Happy "Thirsty Thursday"!!! (*@^@*)

"On Valentine's Day, millions of men give millions of women flowers, cards and candy as a heartfelt expression of the emotion that also motivates men to observe anniversaries and birthdays: fear."~Dave Barry (1947 - ), Miami Herald, Dec. 28, 2003
My Add:
Isn't it funny how fear also motivates people to remember Halloween? Fear is a powerful motivator, but we should remember to not "abuse the power". I find the common yearn for PEACE, to be a more powerful motivator.

Life's definitely not always as easy, when you're older. If youth could come with all the knowledge already gained any time after we're oh say 30 ish, that would be WICKED too. Do you think we can put in a request? lmao
REALLY, we are as youthful in spirit as we wish/ allow ourselves. Youth can "spring eternal" this way. Let's just try to stay out of REAL trouble. "Harmless trouble" is better. (^^^)

"I have found the best way to give advice to your children is to find out what they want and then advise them to do it."~Harry S Truman (1884 - 1972)
My Add:
This goes for everyone, as it IS much easier to give advice if you know what they want, and what the topic of interest is. It leads to enjoyment, knowledge, and a better understanding of the interest; and encourages us to do things we like. And It could also change our lives, with a "job" that we actually ENJOY!!!

My Add:
Maturity is a longer road than many of us may realize, and we will find ourselves at this point (above quote) at many "stages" of the game we call Life. Reflections, understanding/ realizations, and choices/ decisions will be options/ MUSTS "on our plate" the whole way. "We do our children no favour by keeping them near, coddling them, or showing them off to adult visitors. Not that a nursemaid does not sometimes spoil them. But the greatest favour we can do our children is to give visible example of love and esteem to our spouse. As they grow up, they may then look forward to maturity so they too can find such love."~Eucharista Ward, Match For Mary Bennet, 2009
My Add:
If we do a "good job" of loving our spouse, this is a WICKED motivator to mature quickly. However, too quickly can deprive/ "stiffle" their freedoms of being children. Better to join in the fun while you can!!!

"Maturity comes not with age but with the acceptance of responsibility. You are only young once but immaturity can last a lifetime!"~Edwin Louis Cole

Immaturity will always be with us. Responsibilities are meant to help us grow in so many ways as people, as men & women, and as a species! If we don't take care of them, they will only get bigger and may feel like "growths on our backs". Let's avoid procrastination, and get things taken care of while it's needed.

"Vitality shows in not only the ability to persist but the ability to start over."~F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896 - 1940)
My Add:
Wednesdays are known as "Hump Day" for two reasons. One is due to being in the middle of the week, it tends to feel like the longest day of the week. What better day to choose to "start over" with something in need. The second reason is a play on this first reason. What better day to choose for the release of tension that sex brings. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)

Self-Stalking - Inspiration in The Morning 17

(~*~)
Hello,
Welcome to a new month!
=
Oct.5/11 Inspiration in the Morning ... 333
"For man, autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together.
For nature, it is a time of sowing, of scattering abroad."~Edwin Teale
My Add:
For those of us creatives that LOVE Halloween, it's also time for us to "scatter" ourselves with our own kind of "harvests". HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (^^^)

Oct.6/11 Inspiration in the Mornings... 334
"I cannot endure to waste anything as precious as autumn sunshine by staying in the house. So I spend almost all the daylight hours in the open air."~Nathaniel Hawthorne (1804 - 1864)
My Add:
It's good to do this as often as we can. It helps "clear our heads", gives us some much needed fresh air, and rejuvenates our souls. (^^^)

Oct.7/11 Inspiration in the Mornings... 335
"There is a harmony
In autumn, and a lustre in its sky,
Which through the summer is not heard or seen,
As if it could not be, as if it had not been!"~Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792 - 1822)
My Add:
Autumn is a time of many possibly "hidden" inspirations. It's up to us to discover them.
WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (^^^)

Oct.10/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 336
"He who rejects change is the architect of decay. The only human institution which rejects progress is the cemetery."~Harold Wilson (1916 - 1995), Speech to the Consultive Assembly of the Council of Europe, Strasbourg, France, January 23, 1967
My Add:
This may be the case in many cemeteries today, but they are kept up & "modernized" by many in many ways. Whether it be fresh flowers, new styled tombstones, or landscape design. Art is EVERYWHERE in the cemeteries, it just takes an objective view point to see it. Spreading the LOVE today - for our dead! XO+XO+XO+ (*@^@*)

Oct.11/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 337
"Perpetual worry will get you to one place ahead of time - the cemetery."~Author Unknown
My Add:
Wednesdays can be tough, and we need to get over the week's "hump". Worry leads to stress we don't need, and we can't change everything to be perfect. If we try our best at what we need/ can do, that's all that matters. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (^^^)

Oct.12/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 338
"Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone puts his hand on you, send him to the cemetery."~Malcolm X (1925 - 1965), Malcolm X Speaks, 1965
My Add:
Being peaceful, courteous, obeying the law, & respecting everyone; is how we want to "travel" in Life, and while journeying through the lands of the dead. After all, they say we only live once. (^^^)

Oct.13/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 339
"Every man should keep a fair-sized cemetery in which to bury the faults of his friends."~Henry Ward Beecher (1813 - 1887)
My Add:
Our friends (like us) are not perfect, and we will find faults. Forgiving them is easier than many think, and a cemetery would be useful for burial of faults from both them & us. Just gotta be careful of expansions, if we want to keep them "in our own back yard".

Oct.14/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 340
"The main things which seem to me important on their own account, and not merely as means to other things, are knowledge, art, instinctive happiness, and relations of friendship or affection."~Bertrand Russell (1872 - 1970)
My Add:
Something to remember when times are "trying" in relations of any kind. (^^^)
+++
Oct.17/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 341
"True happiness is of a retired nature, and an enemy to pomp and noise; it arises, in the first place, from the enjoyment of one's self, and in the next from the friendship and conversation of a few select companions."~Joseph Addison (1672 - 1719), The Spectator, March 17, 1911
My Add:
Yes, true happiness is much closer than we may realize. We just need to keep an open heart & mind to see the opportunities. Spreading the LOVE IN FRIENDSHIP!!! (*@^@*)

Oct.18/11 Inspiration in the Mornings... 342
"Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence. True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation."~George Washington (1732 - 1799)
My Add:
For nothing worth keeping is easy, and looking before we leap into any intimate relations is a MUST. Otherwise we are "going in blind", and leaving the door of opportunity open for those who would "walk all over us". (^^^)
+++
Oct.19/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 343
"Never refuse any advance of friendship, for if nine out of ten bring you nothing, one alone may repay you."~Madame de Tencin
My Add:
When there is much negativity out there, REAL friends are always welcome. If it turns out to only be the one that stays by our side "through thick & thin", then that's all we need. CHEERS TO REAL FRIENDS!!! (^^^)
+++
Oct.20/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 344
"To the soul, there is hardly anything more healing than friendship."~Thomas Moore (1779 - 1852)
My Add:
The greatest thing about REAL friends: They tell you truths (whether you want to hear them or not), help you through "tough times", appreciate you for who you are, they are "there for you" when you need it most, and of all the people in Life you come across... some actually "last a Lifetime"! Here's to real friends... CHEERS! I LOVE YOU ALL!!! You know who you are... (*@^@*)

"Fashion can be bought. Style one must possess."~Edna Woolman Chase
My Add:
There's an old saying that fits this... let's see if I remember it correctly. Only those brave enough to express themselves through fashion, are the ones that possess true style. (^^^)
+++
Oct.25/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 346
"Fashion is general. Style is individual."~Edna Woolman Chase
My Add:
Fashion is made "for the people, by the people". Style is as individual as each of us, and only we can say what we like. After all, we are the ones that are wearing it... we should like it. If not, we can always make it "our own" by alterations. Sharing the LOVE of creativity!!! (^^^)
+++
Oct.26/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 347
"Fashion is something that goes in one year and out the other."~Unknown
My Add:
Fashions may change from year to year, but they also repeat each other. This gives us creatives the chances to "improve" on older fashions, and gives us some predictability of when which fashions may be "in" or "out". Then again, we can always use the old fashions as inspirations for something new. GOTTA LOVE FASHION!!! HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)

Oct.27/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 348
"Don't bend; don't water it down; don't try to make it logical; don't edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly."~Franz Kafka (1883 - 1924)
My Add:
Doing this through fashion, is called "expressing ourselves" to some and "personal style" to others. Either way it's a sense of FREEDOM! Something we ALL could use more of... makes me "thirsty" for more!
HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY (*@^@*)
+++
Oct.28/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 349
"Fashion is for people who don't know who they are."~Quentin Crisp
My Add:
It may be like this for some, but many of us that like fashion like to "play" with their clothes. For example: I know who I am, and it has nothing to do with fashion. Fashion is merely a part of my life, for my own entertainment purposes. I like having fun with clothes, to see what "funky" outfits I can come up with.

"Nothing on Earth so beautiful as the final haul on Halloween night."~Steve Almond
My Add:
I disagree with this quote unless CASH was the "haul", because unfortunately cash is what's ALWAYS needed. And OF COURSE, our CHILDREN are more beautiful. It's funny how this is the ONLY Halloween quote I found...
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!! (*@^@*)
