Hello,
A blog regarding behaviours that I have experienced from "friends" (or were they?) in the past.
Everyone seems to have friends that want to stay over at one time or another, and many have done so over the years with me and my older son. Sadly I say that many have been disappointing as "roomies", even if only temporary.
From those negative experiences I have found it necessary for some rules for staying over. Although more could always be added; I am keeping it limited to 10, and they are NOT in any particular order. These are those rules...
GENERAL RULES FOR STAYING OVER
1. Respect everyone, and everything while at my house. I am a reasonable person that respects everyone, or at least tries to; and I expect the same in return. This includes but is not limited to:
~ everything from me & my kids, our belongings, the space we live in & surrounding property/ neighbours.
~ any stuff of friends of ours that may be over while you are, and NO breaking anything out of anger. I don't need the negativity/ stress & anxiety. If others are going to be disrespectful, they can expect to GET THE F%#!*K OUT!!!
+
2. NO lonely-guy B.S./ expecting anything sexual from me!!! I MUST MAKE THAT ONE CLEAR!!! If I am interested, trust me... I'll let ya know. And I'm sorry, but my interests lay elsewhere. Like my many thoughts, projects, events, etc... I am a "busy gal".
+
3. No bringing negative/ unwanted "drama" of any kind, that is not a simple "venting" need. And please let me know if it is. This includes any thing or person that may come with you, or due to you being here.
+
4. No trying to "take over" anything of importance. EX.: Co-parenting (help) is only appreciated when "backing me up" with the kids. Don't "step on toes", or try to "parent for me" (unless asked). And don't try to fool me, into thinking that you're not trying to!!!
+
5. No talking about/ doing anything "non-child friendly" around my kids!!!
+
6. NO borrowing anything outside my house, as too many things never return. I prefer borrowing to stay here, while you are here.
+
7. NO walking into my bedroom; unless I ask you to specifically, or you are a trusted "lover"/ b/f!!!
+
8. Set good examples while here. This includes CLEANING UP AFTER YOURSELF!!! I have kids of my own, and sometimes others' kids here to do this after. And I DON'T need another "big kid" here, nor do I want to have to constantly remind you like I'm "nagging".
+
9. Don't ask me questions, just to be negative after my answer. WTF?!?!?
+
10. Expect to "pay your own way"/ "go Dutch". I am not here to feed/ cloth you, nor to clean up after/ clean your laundry. I have my family and self to do that for/ after. I'm NOT your momma!!!
+
Thankfully, this is not needed much now. I wish that nobody else feels the need for such a list, and that if needed you can know this is available for your use.
I hope you have wonderful wild & wicked journeys & adventures through what we call Life!!! (042910210AMishC.E.S.)
Thankz for listening!

Until next time...
