Self-Stalking - Inspiration in The Morning 16

(~*~)
Hello,
Welcome to a new month!
=
Sept.1/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 314
"My education was dismal. I went to a series of schools for mentally disturbed teachers."~Woody Allen (1935 - )
My Add:
Let us not forget that WE are "interviewing" the teachers for the role of teaching our children. NOT the other way around for the school to allow us the "privilege" of teaching our kids if they like us parents as a person. School is meant to teach the positives of academics. (^^^)

Sept.6/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 315
"The school of hard knocks is an accelerated curriculum."~Menander (342 BC - 292 BC)
My Add:
It's curriculum is every day, and in every way. It is sometimes unforgiving, cold, and "heartless"; but "what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger". As we are, or as improved individuals, depends on what we do with the information learned. Let's go forth, and strive to become better than we are. HAPPY FREEDOM HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Sept.7/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 316
"A sense of curiosity is nature's original school of education."~Dr. Smiley Blanton
My Add:
Without curiosity we would not have advancement in MANY things... including ourselves. Continual "construction" of who we are/ want to be is an ongoing journey, that takes our curious mind through many adventures. Let's not forget that learning is NOT JUST in school, and we can learn something new EVERY day. (*@^@*)

Sept.8/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 317
"Out of life's school of war: What does not destroy me, makes me stronger."~ Friedrich Nietzsche (1844 - 1900), The Twilight of the Idols (1899)
My Add:
School is not JUST in the classroom; and life can be full of "obstacles", disappointments, and failures. What we do after is what can keep our world the same, or change it for the better. Keeping our hearts & minds in the realm of positive "perspectives", can really help. (^^^)
+++
Sept.9/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 318
"The Past: Our cradle, not our prison; there is danger as well as appeal in its glamour. The past is for inspiration, not imitation, for continuation, not repetition."~Israel Zangwill
My Add:
Inspiration and continuation make a great "team" when applied to unfinished projects, and improvements of. When improvements become "progression", it evolves into a NEW invention. But objective view points are needed, before we can be "inventors". (^^^)
+++
Sept.12/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 319
"Education is a progressive discovery of our own ignorance."~Will Durant (1885 - 1981)
My Add:
We must remember to keep our hearts & minds open to learn. Because the more we learn, the more we realize we didn't know. Spreading the LOVE!!! (^^^)
+++
Sept.14/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 320
"Progress might have been all right once, but it has gone on too long."~Ogden Nash (1902 - 1971)
My Add:
When we feel this way, it usually means that it's either time to finish the "project", or move onto another. We don't want to become "stagnant" with our thoughts on any project, so it's always good to "take a small break" if needed. But it's equally as important to get back to it, and "finish what we started".
Happy HUMP DAY!!! (^^^)
+++
Sept.15/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 321
"All progress is based upon a universal innate desire on the part of every organism to live beyond its income."~ Samuel Butler (1835 - 1902), Notebooks, 1912
My Add:
This probably started as soon as MONEY was used to barter with; and especially now with "taxes". I find that creativity is a GREAT way to try and achieve this!!! Happy "Thirsty" Thursday!!! (^^^)
+++
Sept.16/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 322
"Usually, terrible things that are done with the excuse that progress requires them are not really progress at all, but just terrible things."~Russell Baker (1925 - )
My Add:
If we don't recognize the difference, then we must learn to. As sometimes it also becomes a matter of "just because we can, doesn't mean we should.
WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (^^^)

Sept.19/11 Inspiration in the Mornings... 323
"1492. As children we were taught to memorize this year with pride and joy as the year people began living full and imaginative lives on the continent of North America. Actually, people had been living full and imaginative lives on the continent of North America for hundreds of years before that. 1492 was simply the year sea pirates began to rob, cheat, and kill them."~Kurt Vonnegut (1922 - 2007), Breakfast of Champions
My Add:
Ye be negative years with many negative deeds after that. Now it continues... our "pirates" are just on land. BEWARE of ye negative pirates that pretend to be your friend!!! Lest they be called "frienemies". (^^^)
+++
Sept.20/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 324
"Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save."~Will Rogers (1879 - 1935)
My Add:
Rushing to do things is part of Life, trying to save is part of our instincts. Trying to balance them without anxiety is another matter all together. Let's not forget to breath!!! (^^^)
+++
Sept.21/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 325
"The best and safest thing is to keep a balance in your life, acknowledge the great powers around us and in us. If you can do that, and live that way, you are really a wise man."~Euripides (484 BC - 406 BC)
My Add:
Then we could hopefully use this wisdom/ knowledge to "improve" on things both in our own lives, and those around us. What a better world we could make!!! Spreading the Love... (^^^)
+++
Sept.22/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 326
"The brain is a wonderful organ. It starts working the moment you get up in the morning and does not stop until you get into the office."~Robert Frost (1874 - 1963)
My Add:
Monday's may be "manic" for some of us, but it's always a fresh start to a week. Either way, it's inspirational if you choose to see "the cloud's silver lining". (^^^)
+++
Sept.23/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 327
"You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You're on your own.
And you know what you know.
And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...."~Dr. Seuss (1904 - 1991), Oh! The Places You'll Go!
My Add:
Nothing like Dr. Suess to set things straight. What we do with the knowledge we have, and where we go in Life IS up to each of us. Let's never forget that we have CHOICES, and that WE "steer" our own paths.
Spreading the LOVE!!! (^^^)
+++
Sept.26/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 328
"Ideas must work through the brains and arms of men, or they are no better than dreams."~Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882)
My Add:
We dream by night, we dream by day... we all have dreams for our lives. And what we remember we can try to use for the good. It's the informed decisions of wisdom along the way that are hard. (^^^)
+++
Sept.27/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 329
"Nothing contributes so much to tranquilizing the mind as a steady purpose - a point on which the soul may fix its intellectual eye."~Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (1797 - 1851)
My Add:
Once our mind is calm/ "tranquilized" and our soul's intellectual eye is fixed on this steady purpose, much more can become clear - kinda like meditation.
Aaaahhh... clarity, you have always been a sought after friend. (^^^)
NOTE: Did you know that Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley is actually the ORIGINAL author of "Frankenstein"? She's also one of my favorites... (^^^) Here's the info.: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Shelley
+++
Sept.28/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 330
"Brains, like hearts, go where they are appreciated."~Robert S. McNamara (1916 - ), former U.S. Secretary of Defense
My Add:
If you know where you're appreciated, then great. For those that don't, maybe it's time to take that "step back" for a better objective viewpoint. After all even when we ask opinions of friends, only WE know the full details to make the "informed" decisions. Don't be fooled now, only truth can be our guide. (^^^)
+++
Sept.29/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 331
"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."~Albert Camus (1913 - 1960)
My Add:
In Canada this "second spring" is the COLD version! And "every leaf is a flower" that gets trampled into the ground and becomes it's "blanket" during the winter. Aaahhh how nature shows inspires us, even in ways of Eco-friendlyness. (^^^)
+++
Sept.30/11 Inspiration in the Morning... 332
"Fiery colors begin their yearly conquest of the hills, propelled by the autumn winds. Fall is the artist."~Takayuki Ikkaku, Arisa Hosaka and Toshihiro Kawabata, Animal Crossing: Wild World, 2005
My Add:
When the winds are warm, Fall truly is a BEAUTIFUL time of year. The artistry alone can take our breath away. Let's not forget that our world plays host to so many inspirations. After all, we "humans" may not be the only artists in our world, but we are the only ones that can choose to portray what we see. Spreading the LOVE of nature today... (^^^)
