Adventures - Double Whammy2

Hello,
   This was the second event of my evening, and something that was a complete contrast to the previous event. I took a pause between events, to catch my friend up with how my adventure was going thus far. I told her what the event was (Re/Max Fundraiser), and how it was a crazy networking night - shutterbug me. Then we were off to the second event.
Event: Club Ren - Kings Meet Queens

   As we parked, we saw a girl looking lost on the sidewalk (9:30PMish). When I attempted to help, I got dirty looks and an attitude - oh well. We got stamped as we walked in, got our drinks, and found a table with a good view of both the dj booth and the stage. This was great because I also happen to know the dj, as Brent and I have been friends for a while by this point. So I asked him who I should talk to about picture allowances. Once informed I made my approach, asked, and they agreed. I then had the chance to go back to Brent and say hello, and started taking pictures until the need of fresh batteries. A quest was born!
THE MAYHEM!
  I informed my friend of the quest, and made a quick trip to the store. I came back just in time for the show's starting, changed my batteries, and continued taking pictures as I left the table. Soon after my friend joined me, and somehow ended up finding herself in trouble. Straight drunk guys hitting on her, and other ladies pooring their drinks "accidentally" on her - and then hanging around to chat. Not a good way to meet someone eh? - poor friend.
   I got as many shots of each performance as possible, edited a little while I went ("costing me" battery power), blinding everyone along the way (sorry everyone), and I happenerd to notice someone video taping the event. When I he wasn't busy I spoke with him, and ended up sharing my contact information. The door of opportunity was open with others in the area, and I got to speak with them and share with them also. By the time I was done, I had gone through the better part of 2 sheets of paper... lol.
   I then continued on my quest of pictures, only to run out of battery power (thankful for 2 more batteries), and ran out of picture storage room in my camera. Time to do more picture editing, down to at least 1 picture of each performance - with the exception of a favorite and a "story". Pushing my luck to continue, I found I was running out of battery power again. I tried to be quick with the power usage, and get a few more before completely empty batteries (not an easy task). I managed it, re-joined my friend, discovered the display table with her, and discussed leaving as the hour was getting late. It was already 2AMish, and others were starting to buy me beers - on top of what I had already drank - Ooops, got a little drunk (hahaha).We left, and got some food on the way home.

All in all it was a very fun night with 2 kinds of adventures - I will have to do it again!
